IKON : They are coming for the crown!
This March 16, 2021, the Korean channel MNET published the posters of the various groups which take part in the program « KINGDOM: LEGENDARY WAR »and here is the poster of the group IKON.
The boys appear in white in the center of the poster, standing out on a black background. Their outfits appear slightly purplish by the lighting that illuminates them from above. At the very top, we see the band’s ephemeral logo for the show, as if a crown was placed on their name.
And of course, their iconic phrase: « IKON is coming to town ».
The band then poses for this poster, but what does it mean?
DK and SONG are each on the right and left and with their backs to the group, arms outstretched in front of them, JAY on his knees in the foreground with his arms outstretched looking straight into the camera. CHAN and JUNE are back to back, their heads resting on each other’s shoulders with one arm stretched out towards the horizon and BOBBY is standing on top of everyone, arms in front of him but hands inwards unlike the others. Like JAY, he looks straight into the camera.
The debate is open but some think the boys are taking the crown position, which is plausible, making the connection to the show as well as their logo.
Either way, fans are ecstatic and idolize the poster. The poster is charismatic and quite chic, the IKONIC (the name of their fans) are under the spell and are speechless.
In today’s performance, DK was designated in his capacity as the lead dancer as the group’s representative for the short performance that had been given to do for the various representatives of the participating groups.
On his instagram, the idol poses in his traditional outfit that hints at nobility and wealth with small Korean flags as legends.
Passing the last, the dancer is impressive, revealing fluid movements and executed with poise. DK knew how to make his place among all the performances that we could see among all the contenders of the crown.
But it’s not over !
The channel invites fans of different fandoms to make their own posters with a photo they shared. This is the basis on which the IKONICs will have to create their own poster and submit it to the channel for approval. Of course, everyone got to work as soon as they could! And while some of them reveal their talent …

The show will be broadcast on April 1st 2021, we will find the groups : IKON, ATEEZ, STRAY KIDS, THE BOYZ, SF9 and BtoB, for a fierce competition !
