EXO: CHANYEOL uploads a video for his enlistment

CHANYEOL of EXO has officially started his military service this Monday, March 29.

On Monday March 29th, CHANYEOL, the lead rapper of EXO, joined the active army forces to perform his military service, which is mandatory for men aged 18 to 30 in South Korea. Due to covid-19 restrictions that prohibit 5 or more people’s gatherings, the other members of EXO could not send CHANYEOL off. However, the singer did not forget his fans and posted a video on the Youtube account of his music studio Studio NNG. The video shows CHANYEOL visiting in the middle of the night the projects made by fans for his birthday which took place on November 27:

At the end of the video, CHANYEOL writes to his fans “I’m doing well” but also “See you every 27“. This last message suggests that the singer has prepared several videos that will be released every 27th of the month during his military service length.

CHANYEOL is the fifth member of EXO to enlist after XIUMIN, D.O, SUHO and CHEN. CHANYEOL will first receive basic training in a military camp for about 4 weeks before entering the active forces of the army. The date of his military discharge is estimated to be September 28, 2022.
