Girl group STAYC was selected as “Rookie of the Month” by the K-pop Radar in September, proving once again that these are emerging artists representative of the fourth generation.

K-pop Radar said on October 21, “STAYC’s new song ‘Stereotype’ with its music video reached 10 million views in just 52 hours.” As soon as possible he revealed why he had chosen STAYC as the rookie of the month.

STAYC wowed audiences with their debut song “So bad” in November last year, and proved to be “hot rookies” accentuating their debut with “Asap” in April of this year.

STAYC’s new song “Stereotype” also proved to have gained popularity in Korea and abroad.

According to K-pop Radar analysis, STAYC received approximately 44.4 million views on YouTube in September. Among them, Korea was considered the country with the highest percentage of views with 28%, followed by Indonesia 10%, the United States 9% and Japan 7%, enjoying popularity on the main global markets.

In response, the K-pop Radar said, STAYC is showing remarkable growth not only on YouTube, but also on SNS and music platforms,” adding:

This is an unusual and surprising record for a new artist from a small and medium-sized agency.

STAYC recorded a whopping 34.17% increase in the number of followers on Instagram in September compared to the previous month, and Twitter also posted a 19.48% increase in the number of followers during the same period, registering a sharp increase in fandom indicators. In addition, Spotify, a music platform, also enjoyed great popularity with 300,000 subscribers.

In particular, STAYC’s animated graphics video, which synthesizes activity data from last September, was produced and can be found on the official K-pop Radar Twitter and blip YouTube channel. STAYC fans who watched the video praised the activity, saying, “As expected, Jjang Stacy (짱테이씨)” and “I’m more proud to see it with data like this.”
