CRAVITY: Addicted to love

The male group CRAVITY from STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT is making a comeback, with the album “ LIBERTY: IN OUR COSMOS“.

Consisting of members SERIM, JUNGMO, WONJIN, MINHEE, WOOBIN, TAEYOUNG, ALLEN, HYEONGJUN and SEONGMIN, the group debuted on April 14, 2020 and is now making a comeback with a press showcase on YouTube. It is with a more “fresh and energetic” image that the group is coming back in force, after having gained in maturity, almost two years since its debut. The concept of this album wants to be the universe, where the stars are a source of hope, freedom, love and solidarity. It is the continuity of their previous album, the group having chosen to divide their first album into two parts. For this, the title song “Adrenaline” seeks to highlight these feelings encountered, particularly when you fall in love with someone, until you become addicted. Through this love, the boys find a source of light in the darkness where they thought they lived.

It is a special day for the latter, because he is celebrating his birthday. In addition, members SEONGMIN and TAEYOUNG will be adults this year. SEONGMIN also declares that he does not feel any difference contrary to what he had been told. MINHEE addresses this concept again, saying that since the group’s debut, it’s been the one that best matches the members, highlighted by the concept of school children through their outfits. The singers hope that this enthusiasm they share will also be shared by their fans, Korean and foreign, whom they will meet soon. The group then takes the time to present each track making up this album, eight in number:

• « Chandelier » : Compare our future to a candlestick so bright, on an energetic song.
• « Flip the frame » : The group has the will to break the world in which it lives to go to a new universe.
• « 좋아하나봐 » : Addresses the excitement of realizing you love someone, lulled by the refreshing voices of the members.
• « Late night » : Highlights the importance of friendship, and the need to support and comfort each other.
• « Outro : In our cosmos » : What end this part two of this first album with lyrical words.

Before introducing their new title track, WONJIN, SERIM and ALLEN dance a few steps to the chorus, where they mime holding a gun with their hand. Then, they are joined by the other boys to perform their song “Adrenaline”. The group asks the loved one to give them a chance with the lyrics “give me one shot“. Then the clip plays, and we find CRAVITY in a school, trying to get a young girl’s attention to give her a love letter. The clip seems to take place over a day: the members wake up in the morning and go to class, in the afternoon they meet on a sports field, and in the evening they party in a gym.

Once the clip is broadcast, the group returns to the stage to answer questions from journalists present online. SERIM begins by reassuring its audience by affirming that the members previously affected by covid are all fully recovered, and that there is nothing more to fear for their health. On the contrary, the fact of having been sick made them want to surpass themselves for this comeback that they are proud to present today. MINHEE continues by saying that this album was a pleasure to prepare since it was a concept that the group wanted to try for a while.

Two years after their debut, the group believe they have improved in their songwriting and songwriting, and think they know better what they like to do now.
