SEVENTEEN released a video trailer for its fourth full album “FACE THE SUN” at 1 p.m. KST on its official SNS today. The main character of this video is VERNON, whose inner shadow is “Fishbowl and sea“.
The video, which began with the appearance of a fish swimming in an aquarium, morphed into a scene with VERNON traveling through the great sea. VERNON, holding the fish which stopped moving, stared at the front with a deep gaze.
Since the 27th of last month, SEVENTEEN has been revealing shadows, a symbol of inner worries, through video trailers for the fourth album featuring each member. So far, 11 posts from S.COUPS, JOSHUA, THE8, WOOZI, HOSHI, JEONGHAN, SEUNGKWAN, DOKYEOM, DINO, MINGYU, and VERNON have been posted, raising questions about the inner shadows the remaining two members will unveil.
MINGYU posted on his personal SNS on May 6, “The sound we made together was always nice to hear. It was beautiful and pretty.” At the last moment, he posted an image with the phrase “Is our sound a chord or a noise?” and dropped a hint about his shadow, “Harmony-Discord.“
SEVENTEEN’s fourth album, “FACE THE SUN” surpassed 1.74 million pre-orders at home and abroad within a week after the launch of pre-sales. The figure far exceeds the pre-order volume of 1.41 million copies of the previous 9th mini album “ATTACA”, and SEVENTEEN announced a “career high” at the start of a new report.
