JUNG TAEKWOON (LEO from VIXX) stood on stage for the last time as ‘Mata Hari’s Armand.
On August 6th, JUNG TAEKWOON took part for the last time in the music ‘Mata Hari’, qwhich ended successfully. From the very first, to the last performance, he got the audience’s love and applause.
JUNG TAEKWOON got back on stage a year after the very first time he took on Armand’s role. TAEKWOON managed to captivate the audience with his ability to make Armand grow as a character. From a lovestruck young man, to a strong Armand whose feelings were enhanced by JUNG TAEKWOON’s acting skills. Skills that granted him the nickname « Taekrmand » (Taekwoon & Armand).
Positive critics from the very beginning the representations enabled him to gain in confidence, and make the stage his with his charisma. A well-deserved nickname, indeed.
After his last performance, he released a statement though his agency, JELLYFISH ENTERTAINMENT: ‘Thanks to a very competant staff, and skilled actors, I got to learn a lot. I got the chance moments that were filled with happiness and emotions thanks to the audience. I will continue to work hard to show you even better quality projects in the future. I thank you all.’
We can only wait for his future work as an actor.
JUNG TAEKWOON debuted in 2014 with the musical ‘Full house’, and came back on stage in 2016 with ‘Mata Hari’, and ‘Montecristo’. ‘Mata Hari’ was such a hit that he then came back as Armand earlier this year.
‘Mata Hari’s world première was held last year, and depicted the famous spy Mata Hari’s life. The success of the play made it that the musical became a classic in Korea. This time, British director Stephen Rayne’s participation managed to transform the play from the original one: the audience was greatly satisfied.
Now, JUNG TAEKWOON let go of Armand and will get back on stage as VIXX‘s LEO. VIXX’s popularity overseas will let him perform in Japan, and South East Asian next.
Unit VIXX LR (LEO & RAVI) is also said to make a comeback later this month. A very busy schedule ahead for JUNG TAEKWOON.
