Boy band SEVENTEEN is getting more and more famous throughout Japan.
The ORICON charts supply statistics on the music industry in Japan. Last week, boy band SEVENTEEN‘s new album called AN ODE rose to the top of the WEEKLY INTERNATIONAL ALBUM chart. It was also ranked 2nd of the following three other charts: WEEKLY COMBINED ALBUM, WEEKLY ALBUM, and WEEKLY DIGITAL ALBUM charts.
After SEVENTEEN‘s official debuts in Japan last year, the album WE MAKE YOU took the first place of the ORICON’s YEAR-END INDIE’S ALBUM. In June this year, their Japanese mini-album HAPPY ENDING recorded over 250,000 sales in a week.
With the recent release of their third full-length album, the members of SEVENTEEN have hit new records with over 700,000 sales in a short time. AN ODE has brought the band on top of several international music charts.
