A.C.E : A very meaningful single for their comeback.

Boyband A.C.E formed by Beat Interactive Entertainment has made its comeback today with a third album entitled UNDER COVER : THE MAD SQUAD.

Today, the members of the band A.C.E went up on the YES24 Live Hall stage to introduce their new mini-album. It was the perfect opportunity for them to answer some questions about their comeback and talk about their single called «Savage», which is the signature song of this third album.

A.C.E is a group composed of five members: JUN, KIM BYUNG KWAN, DONGHUN, WOW, and CHAN. It was formed by Beat Interactive Entertainment in 2016 and made its debuts the following year with a single entitled «Cactus».

In May this year, the boys knew a great success with their second mini-album, especially with their song called «UNDER COVER» which even has reached over 6 million views on YouTube. The fans of the band were looking forward to discovering this third mini-album.

Through this new mini-album, the five members reveal a wilder side of themselves. A.C.E‘s leader JUN declared that the concept of UNDER COVER : THE MAD SQUAD was «bad boys».

When the MC asked the boys who they thought this concept fitted better, JUN said it perfectly fitted the band’s main dancer KIM BYUNG KWAN who directly approved: «It is true. I am actually very stubborn. As the main dancer of the band, I am very strict with myself. I keep training until my performance is perfect».

The single «Savage» hides a very deep meaning behind this «bad boys» concept. Through the song, the members encourage their fans to escape from the standards imposed by society. They say it is just fine to take the «winding road» (literal translation of the song’s Korean title: 삐딱선) instead of the so-called right path.

«We believe that it is completely fine to stand out. We actually believe that it is a great quality. People usually get the best ideas and accomplish the best things when going away from the ordinary and the standards».

On stage, the members seemed quite shy. Leader JUN said it was because it was only their second showcase since their debuts and it was a bit intimidating. Yet, the five of them showed a great sense of professionalism as they posed in front of the reporters.

Later on, the boys opened their hearts as they revealed their biggest wish: Leader JUN said he would be very honored if A.C.E could perform at the Gochuk Sky Dome, a stadium located in Seoul that has the capacity for over 15,000 spectators. DONGHUN wishes that the band can rise to the top places of the Korean music charts. A.C.E‘s rapper WOW said he wished that they can enter the famous American Billboard charts. KIM BYUNG KWAN expressed a very special wish: he hopes A.C.E can hold a sporting event where they would invite their fans and share a memorable time with them. Lastly, the youngest member of the band, CHAN, declared he would be grateful if this third mini-album could bring the band to the top place of the music charts by next week.

By the end of the showcase, member DONGHUN revealed that the single «Savage» was a tribute to the five members: «The five of us have been through hardships before our debuts. We trained really hard and many times we thought it wasn’t worth trying any longer. Yet we never gave up and we never thought it would be better to go on the right path. So we went along this harder path despite the difficulties and now we are standing here in front of you to introduce our third mini-album».

The word of our reporter: «The members of A.C.E all have great energy and are all very authentic. They have the ambition to stand out of the other bands and it seems like they can achieve great things in the future».
