LEE EUN SUNG, a former member of the band THE EAST LIGHT, posted a letter on his Instagram account on November 19th, stating, “Hello, I’m Lee Eun-sung.“
LEE EUN SUNG said: “I will join the army on November 25th, 2019. It’s my own decision, and I’m ready to do it, but I’m afraid I can not meet you as often as now.“
LEE EUN SUNG added: “It may seem a little strange to suddenly go to the army, but I have thought a lot about the future, I made a decision because I thought I could do it.”
“I would appreciate if you could wait until I’m released, for the time you’ve waited I’ll pay you back, and I love you,” he said, expressing his affection to his fans.

안녕하세요. 이은성입니다.
여러분들에게 꼭 말씀드려야 할 중요한 일이 있어서 이렇게 편지를 쓰게 되었어요.
제가 2019년 11월 25일에 입대를 하게 되었습니다!
스스로 결정한 일이고 마음의 준비도 끝냈지만, 아쉬운 건 여러분들과 지금처럼 자주 못만난다는 점이에요.
갑자기 군대를 가는 게 조금 이상하게 보일 수 있겠지만, 그동안 미래에 대한 고민을 많이 해왔어요.
지금 군대를 다녀와야 제가 여러분과 오래오래 쭉 함께 할 수 있을 것 같아서 이렇게 결정을 내리게 되었습니다.
어쩌면 제 결정이 여러분들에게는 조금 힘드실 수도 있겠지만 제가 전역할 때까지 기다려주시면 감사하겠습니다.
