RAINA left a handwritten letter on her Instagram account on December 27th, expressing her feelings about the expiration of her contract with Pledis Entertainment.
“I am leaving Pledis Entertainment, with whom I have been working for 10 years, to make a new start,” she wrote in this letter. “I have mixed feelings as I write this letter,” she adds.
“I really appreciate the Pledis family, the members and the fans who shared a lot of memories, working within AFTERSCHOOL, ORANGE CARAMEL and solo. They always support me.“
“I would like to see you more often and for longer. I am going to be RAINA who will work harder in any activity in the future, so I would be grateful if you would keep an eye on me with your heart. ” did she say.
Earlier today, Pledis Entertainment announced the expiration of its exclusive contract with RAINA.

안녕하세요 레이나입니다.
제가 지난 10년간 함께한 플레디스엔터테인먼트를 떠나, 새로운 시작을 하게 되었어요.
‘나에게도 이 편지를 쓰는 날이 오는구나’만감이 교차합니다.
애프터스쿨,오렌지캬라멜,솔로 레이나로 활동하며 많은 추억을 나눈 플레디스 식구들과 멤버들, 버팀목이 되어준 팬분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
저라는 부족한 사람에게 늘 아낌없는 응원으로
힘이 되어 주시는데,저는 그만큼 돌려드리지 못한 것 같아

RAINA has been part of AFTERSCHOOL since 2010, of the 11 members who made up the group, only NANA and E-YOUNG remain who are still under contract with Pledis Entertainment.
