The “THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS” ceremony will be presented online.
On March 9th, the organizing committee of “THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS” announced that it will replace the physical ceremony with an online viewing for all categories, which couldn’t be organized due to the consequences of Corona 19.
The winners of “THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS” will be determined based on the results of the 2019 scorecard.
The prices for all the “THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS” initially planned, including the grand prize of honor, the choice of listeners, the artist of the year, the special price, the next leader, the popularity price and the Fan and Star Choice awards, will take place online, and the results of the awards will be published on the official website on March 16th at 10 am. The award videos will also be downloaded regularly.
The results will be based on the count from January to December 2019. The four categories, including the grand prize, Listener Choice, artist of the year and next leader, will be decided by a score composed of 40% of the musical releases and albums and 60% of the judges’ notes. Musical publications and albums are determined on the basis of data from the Gaon Chart.
In addition, the “THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS” will organize a new award ceremony in the second half of this year based on the January 2020 score count.
The “THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS” was originally scheduled to be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on February 29th. BTS to SUPER JUNIOR through TWICE, RED VELVET, CHUNGHA, MAMAMOO, (G) I-DLE, ITZY, MONSTA X, NU ‘EST, STRAY KIDS, N.FLYING, THE BOYZ, IZ, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, best K-pop artists in Korea had to participate, but to prevent the spread of Corona19 and for artist safety, the event was postponed.
