The actor and member of the group BTOB, YOOK SUNGJAE, 25, will join the army.

His agency Cube Entertainment said on May 3rd that he would join the military as an active member on May 11th, adding that he had decided not to disclose the place and time of his enlistment because he wanted to join the army quietly.
That same day, SUNG JAE published a message on his SNS and directly informed his fans of his enrollment.
He said in this post: “There will be a break because of the enrollment of BTOB members, but since our Melody (BTOB fans) are waiting for us, BTOB is only dreaming of the day to meet again”, adding: “I hope you have a happy and healthy day until the day we meet.”
YOOK SUNG JAE will be the fourth member of BTOB to join the army after SEO EUN KWANG, LEE CHANG SEOB and LEE MIN HYUK.
SEO EUN KWANG, who was the first to join the military, was removed from office last month, and LEE CHANG SEOB and LEE MIN HYUK will complete their military service in August and September respectively.
YOOK SUNG JAE, the youngest member of BTOB, debuted in 2015 and is the group’s sub-vocal. He has released several solo albums and singles.
He appeared in dramas “Goblin: The Lonely and Great God“, “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” and “Who Are You: School 2015“, and also appeared in entertainment programs such as “All The Butlers“.
He will star in the JTBC drama Wednesday-Thursday “Mystic pop-up bar“, which will premiere on May 20th.
