BTS: Fourth 700 million reached

The number of YouTube views for the BTS’ clip “Idol” exceeded 700 million this morning. “Idol” is the title track of the repackage album “LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer“, released in August 2018.

This is the fourth time that BTS has obtained 700 million views for a video after “DNA“, “Boy with luv” and “Fake love“.

The clip of “Idol” offers an exciting festive atmosphere against the backdrop of a colorful set of tropical savannah meadows, pieces of Bukcheong lion, Euro-Asian architecture and traditional Korean style. In addition to this, the performance combined with Korean samulnori, mask dancing and the graphic effect of the subculture are added.

Shortly after its release, “Idol” topped iTunes’ Top Song “charts in 66 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada and Great Britain. He also made headlines, ranking 11th in the US “Hot 100” ranking and 21st in the official British “Top 100” ranking.

BTS has a total of 25 billion views with its clips, including 1 billion views on “DNA“, 800 million views for “Boy with luv“, 700 million views for “Fake love“, 600 million views for “Fire“, the remix of “MIC Drop” and “Blood sweat & tears”.
