The dance cover competition for “How you like that“, the band’s latest song “BLACKPINK“, brought a competitive rate of 740 to 1. Thousands of participants from around the world flocked to be part of the three award-winning teams .

According to YG Entertainment on July 28th, the agency held a dance cover competition for “How you like that” from July 6th to 20th. About 2,200 groups from more than 100 countries, including Korea, the United States, Canada, Brazil, India, the Philippines and Thailand, participated.
The number of content uploaded to YouTube was around 97,000, with the Philippines (around 270 teams) and the United States (around 240 teams) in 2nd place.
YG Entertainment said, “This is the highest number of participants for a dance cover competition among our artists,” adding, “The participation rate in the United States has increased significantly, with many participants appearing in hanbok costumes.”
In fact, around 800 teams entered the BLACKPINK mega-hit “Kill this love” dance cover contest. The number of participants in the “How you like that” dance cover competition almost tripled.
The team that won the grand prize is the Korea PREMIUM DANCE STUDIO (YEMIN BOSS). The duo consisted of two children, nine and ten years old respectively.
They showed off their excellent dancing skills in costumes borrowed from the old palace hanbok, and even at a young age their powerful performances and delicate movements with their facial expressions were well received.
Andree Bonifacio from the Philippines won the silver medal. Vietnam’s “B-Wild Official” won the bronze medal. YG Entertainment has selected two additional teams for the special prize. Ukraine T.B. Unicorns, which performed spectacularly in the streets, and “Mikayla Channel” in Indonesia, which consists of four children.
