SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, the agencies representing K-pop, have joined forces for global online concerts in the age of Covid-19.

SM and JYP Entertainment announced on August 4 that they have created Beyond LIVE Corporation (BLC), the world’s first concert exclusively online by Beyond Live.
BLC is a company that plans and operates a paid concert called Beyond Live. JYP Entertainment‘s global network and creation will add to the synergy between SM Entertainment‘s content production capabilities and Naver’s technology. The two companies plan to build Beyond Live into a world-class online concert brand by furthering the development of joint global businesses.
Beyond Live, which debuted in April with the SuperM group stage, is the world’s first paid concert dedicated to virtual mode. The concert applied culture technology (CT) to the concert field and introduced AR (augmented reality) technology and interactive communication through multiple video connections.
In particular, JYP Entertainment‘s main girl group “TWICE” is receiving positive responses by announcing The “Beyond Live – Twice: World in a Day” via Naver V Live at 3pm on August 9th. PARK JIN YOUNG, the boss of JYP Entertainment, a global hit maker and producer, will participate in the concert.
