YG Entertainment posted a poster of BLACKPINK’s “NEW SINGLE RELEASE” on its official blog on August 12th. The names of BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez are written on it. The song will be released simultaneously worldwide on August 28th. It will be midnight in the eastern United States and 1 pm Korean time.

BLACKPINK secured a K-pop girl group’s highest performance on America’s Billboard main chart Hot 100 with their “Sour candy” collaboration with Lady Gaga in May. Prior to that, in 2018, the group featured “Kiss and make up” by Dua Lipa, ranking 36th in the Top 100 on the British Official Singles Chart.
