NCT 2020
The plan for NCT 2020 was announced recently, and the teasers are having a bombshell effect on the group’s SNS.
Today, a first photo teaser, as well as an introductory video of the “NCT 2020” project was unveiled on the various SNS of NCT. We can see all the members of all the sub-units there, as well as two new members: SUNGCHAN and SHOTARO.
WAYV had been announced to be part of the project along with the other units, and is now within NCT, through “NCT 2020“.

The video teaser titled “NCT 2020: YearParty” shows the members one by one, in a very futuristic concept. We can see the seven members of WAYV: TEN, LUCAS, KUN, who is in passing the leader of the unit, WINWIN, YANGYANG, XIAOJUN and HENDERY, with the other members of NCT, all units combined.
A similar project had been carried out in 2018 in the name of “NCT 2018“, TEN, KUN, WINWIN, and LUCAS were part of it, moreover LUCAS had been unveiled for the first time in a sub-unit (NCT U) in order to start officially. The concept of a project like this is to bring together in a single album, songs from different subunits, which then each make a title song for the final album.
We can expect, through this project, to have a “comeback” from every sub-unit, including WAYV.
As a reminder, WAYV is the Chinese sub-unit created by SM ENTERTAINMENT and LABEL V. It debuted in 2019 with a first mini-album called “TAKE OFF”. Members already present in NCT: TEN, LUCAS, WINWIN and KUN joined the sub-unit with the three members who started with it: YANGYANG, XIAOJUN and HENDERY.
NCT 2020‘s album will be titled “NCT 2020: Resonance Pt. 1” and will be released on October 12th.
