To close this year which was very special, there is this December 21st the birthday of the member BOBBY, who celebrates his 25th birthday!

BOBBY, born KIM JI-WON was born on December 21, 1995 in the Korean capital, Seoul. His family is composed of his parents and an older brother. He immigrated with his family in 2005 to Virginia in the United States where he lived most of his youth. It is there that he realized an audition for YG ENTERTAINMENT, being recruited by the agency in January 2011, he became an intern at the age of 16.
He returned alone to Korea to pursue his dream. In 2013, after two years of training, BOBBY participates in the survival show WIN: WHO IS NEXT whose goal was to form the WINNER group, a group that appeared eight years after the last creation of the idol company BIG BANG.
Even the former CEO and founder, YANG HYUN-SUK, had announced that the remaining group would be dissolved, BOBBY and the rest of TEAM B (consisting of: BI, JAY, JU-NE, DK and SONG) remained in the company still as trainees.
In May 2011, BOBBY accompanied by B.I participates in the third season of the show SHOW ME THE MONEY broadcast on MNET. He is supported by two rappers and producers: DOK2 and THE QUIETT, both producers having their own independent label ILLIONNAIRE.
With several singles released throughout the show, BOBBY was declared the winner at the end of the show. At the age of 18, he was the youngest winner of the show.
The same year, in the middle of the show, BOBBY starts another show which will be the beginning of his band: MIX & MATCH.
The show lasted nine episodes, from September 11, 2014 to December 16, 2014. It features TEAM B which is still improving after the previous defeat as well as three new trainees: JUNG CHAN-WOO, JUNG JINHYEONG and YANG HONSEOK.
The group was formed with the whole TEAM B as well as JUNG CHANWOO, being the third member chosen for the composition of IKON.
They make their debut with the title “My type” on September 14, 2015 with BOBBY as the main rapper.
In 2016, a duo appeared MOBB, the result of a collaboration between BOBBY and his label mate as a former rival, MINO, who had started out in the band WINNER.
Their mini-album “HIT ME” consists of four tracks, two as a duo and one solo for each rapper.
The rapper doesn’t stop there since on September 14, 2017 he releases his first solo album “LOVE AND FALL“. He then devoted himself entirely to his work being the producer as well as the composer and the writer.
BOBBY then showed himself to be versatile passing by pleasant lyrics and deep meaning with a talent for singing.
At his young age, he has already accomplished a lot and he is certain that he will not stop there.
