SUNGMIN from the group BIGFLO is celebrating his 30 years old today and we wish him a happy birthday.
SUNGMIN was born in South Korea on December 31st, 1990. He grew up on Jeju Island where his parents and grandparents still live and work as farmers on the family farm, producing and selling tangerines, oranges, and kiwis.
His biggest dream as a child was to become a singer. He is now walking this path with passion.
2012: His debut with A-BLE
Long before his debut with BIGFLO, SUNGMIN joined A-BLE and made his debut with the song « Mystery », from their full album named « ABLE’S 1ST ALBUM ».
He was involved in two comebacks, « Mystery » and « BangYa », before their disbanding.
2017: New debut with BIGFLO
BIGFLO is a k-pop group with five members who made their debut on June 23rd, 2014, before a sixth member joined them in 2015. They were looking for recruits after Z-UK and KICHUN‘s departure. HIGHTOP directly asked SUNGMIN to be one of them and he accepted the offer immediately. He was officially introduced to the fans on January 5th, 2017, along with LEX and EUIJIN. He made his new debut on February 13th, 2017 with the song « Stardom », from their eponymous mini-album.
2019: Various musical projects
SUNGMIN and LEX released the song « Like You » and invited KIM SEONG LEE to join them. Their trio with their amazing vocal highlights the melody composed by YOON JONG SHIN perfectly.
The same year, he also joined the cast of two musicals, « Fighting Call » and « Sunny Ten ». You can watch the fancams filmed during the representations on Mintwo Studio’s Youtube Channel, created in 2018 by SUNGMIN and LEX to share videos about their life, their travels, their music, etc. They were uploading content regularly until SUNGMIN enlisted for the military at the end of 2019.
