JUYEON : THE BOYZ’s main dancer and visual celebrates his birthday

On January 15, we are celebrating LEE JUYEON‘s birthday, member from THE BOYZ.

JUYEON is known to be an actor, singer, MC, model and dancer. He is a nature lover, he has big hands and he is the best at speaking Japanese among his co-members. People tell him he looks like a cat and that he looks mysterious but his co-members say that he is pure and almost naive. JUYEON is a young man who is really different when he dances and performs on stage where he is charismatic. With HYUNJAE and YOUNGHOON, he belongs to the Bermuda Triangle from THE BOYZ because these three young men always attract people’s attention with their looks.

Before his debuts, he participated in Seoul’s fashion week in 2017 as well as YOUNGHOON. Then, alongside his co-members, he participated in a reality show entitled “Flower Snack”in order to gain popularity and reveal each of the members. THE BOYZ debuted on December 6, 2017 with title-song “Boy”. After that, the group made many comebacks without rest and showed a bright, cute and cool side with synchronized choreographies. It was during title-song “No Air”‘s promotions that the members gained more confidence during their filming and on stage. The group changed its style to become more mature with more intense choreographies and it attracted people’s attention. This title-song was really popular and they gained many fans who worked hard to bring the group’s first win in a music show during the next comeback with “Bloom Bloom”.

2020 was really THE BOYZ‘s year. Indeed, the eleven members all worked hard to become even better and show many people their unique teamwork and perfect performances. First, thanks to a first album and title-song “REVEAL”, the group tried a new concept which was mystical and seductive. The group also performed “Mirotic” from TVXQ and JUYEON‘s fancam that you can find under attracted people’s attention thanks to his stage presence.

Since THE BOYZ started to show new sides over the years, the group’s agency prepared a new project entitled “GENERATION Z”. In May 2020, several short individual videos were released to introduce each of the members in a casual style. They were all able to talk freely about themselves and answer questions in order to be better known as humans and as normal young men. In the video under, you can discover JUYEON answering questions and explaining his wish to be a not so king guy and to be able to show many more sides of himself.

Between March and June 2020, JUYEON participated with his co-members to the reality show “Road to Kingdom” in which seven boy groups had to prepare performances in order to show the best stages and become the winner. THE BOYZ showed the best performances during most of the episodes thanks to a perfect teamwork and was also compared to a professional dance team. On June 12, 2020, THE BOYZ released title-song “CHECKMATE” for the show’s last episode and its success helped the group showing an impressive stage once again. They were able to win the show in order to go to “Kingdom”. JUYEON was praised for his great skills as an artist and his duet with HYUNJAE in “CHECKMATE” s performance..

THE BOYZ made a comeback in the same spirit as “Road to Kingdom”‘s performances with “The Stealer”. This comeback promotion was a real success and the song was so popular that the group won many trophies at music shows and awards at the end of the year’s ceremonies. The groups prepared performances which were impressive, but the most incredible one was for the 2020 MAMA. Indeed, the eleven members dressed as Greek gods showed a catchy and perfect choreography with elements that reminded of “Road to Kingdom”. It was like an even better version of the show with the use of fire and many more acrobatics. The aim of this unbelievable performance was to introduce themselves as one of the teams for the upcoming show “Kingdom”. JUYEON was also a part of an epic trio in collaboration to end this serie of performances on the theme of kings.

After his debuts three years ago, JUYEON kept on improving and gained more and more skills as an artist and also strated to be an MC for “The Show”. He was also praised for his dancing skills that we can see on many performances but also alongside other group’s artists. For example, during a special stage on “Hard Carry” by GOT7, JUYEON showed his rapping skills, something that has never been revealed in the past.
