ONF: Dance with them

It is on this day that the group ONF of WM ENTERTAINMENT made its comeback with its very first repackage, called “CITY OF ONF“.

The showcase presenting this comeback repackage is being held online. The group, consisting of members HYOJIN, E-TION, J-US, WYATT, MK and U, made its comeback with the track “Ugly dance“, and, as the members got the world to sing along in their previous song, “Beautiful beautiful“, they ask you here to dance.

The showcase begins with the performance of this new title, followed by the broadcast of the associated clip. The first notes recall “Beautiful beautiful“, this repackage being the continuity of their last album, which was able to place first in the charts, and was the group’s objective with this comeback. The group continued its efforts to develop its musical identity with the title “Ugly dance“, with a clean visual to highlight the performance of the members. Regarding their previous title, the members are very happy to know that they marked the spirits with a hard-hitting rhythm and a part in a capella, and they hope that this new title will be just as striking.

“We want to make you dance with this new title” – E-TION

For the group, the most important point of the dance is when they sing “1, 2, 3“, just before calling “춤 춰” (dance!), which is the highlight of the song. In particular, J-US recommends it for playing sports, because it infuses energy. It tackles the theme of freedom, similar to “Beautiful beautiful” and warns people not to get caught up in a moving train, but to stay alert to preserve your youth. They then come back briefly to the three new tracks making up this repackage: “Ugly dance” is a hip-hop song that calls on everyone to go beyond the stereotypes present in society. In the clip, we find the same robots of “Beautiful beautiful“, emphasizing the continuity between the two titles.

The next title is “My geneses (Übermensch)” which is inspired by the philosophy of Nietzsche, of a genre swinging between rock and jazz, as well as from the book “Thus spoke Zarathustra” by directly quoting a sentence from the book : “He is reborn as a creature who surpasses himself and creates new things”. Finally, the repackage is completed by the song “The dreamer“, which the group performs at the end of this presentation. It is the mirror of their previous title “The realist” which invited to seize the reality in our dreams, and here, the members ask to do the opposite. The track is meant to be soft, as is the performance, to focus on the vocal performances of the members.
