Bloomberg explained, “Companies linked to the latest Korean hit, SQUID GAME, are gaining popularity with investors.

On this basis, Bloomberg analyzed that the stock price of Bucket Studio, which owns a stake in lead actor LEE JUNG JAE‘s agency of “SQUID GAME,” has climbed 90% over the past three years. days, on the stock market. In addition, the Showbox distributor, known for having invested in the production of “SQUID GAME“, also saw its share price soar by more than 50%.

Bloomberg also quoted Douglas Kim, a Korean content industry expert, as saying, “Bucket Studio is driving up stock prices even though it is an indirect beneficiary of ‘SQUID GAME‘.

Bloomberg said, “The competitiveness of Korean content will increase day by day, and the share price of the Korean entertainment industry will increase further over the next two or three years,” adding, “As seen in “SQUID GAME,” Korea’s content production capacity is comparable to Hollywood, which dominates the global entertainment market.
