WAYV - HENDERY
HENDERY is one of the members of WAYV, being previously featured as a member of the SM ROOKIES project in 2018. He is part of the SM ENTERTAINMENT agency and is originally from Macau, China.
He is one of the members who was introduced along with the two other SM ROOKIES now part of the group WAYV: YANGYANG and XIAOJUN. As a reminder, WAYV is the Chinese sub-unit of the main group of SM ENTERTAINMENT: NCT, of which it has also been a part since this year with the NCT 2020 project.
He was featured through various photos of SM ROOKIES, as well as a short video, which tells us a little more about him and what he likes. Like, for example, that his favorite color is pink and that he enjoys dancing while walking.
He made his official debut within the Chinese group of SM ENTERTAINMENT and LABEL V, called WAYV, which is therefore, as already specified above, one of the sub-units of NCT. The group will debut in January 2019, to release its first mini-album a little later, which will be called “TAKE OFF“. The group will make its official debut after presenting a Chinese version of the song “Regular“, which originated from the group NCT. It’s a kind of “appetizer” for fans who had already seen and noticed the colors of WAYV before its official debut.
HENDERY has a lively personality. He likes to learn new things, and likes to be interested in what he likes in particular. He is able to speak four languages, making him the owner of the second place after TEN, who can speak a little more language to him. Indeed, HENDERY speaks well Mandarin, Cantonese, English as well as Portuguese. He initially wanted to become an actor, which explains his studies in Beijing at a theater school. By the way, TEN says of him that he is her Chinese teacher, as we can see him teaching her the language in some videos of the group.
He is often compared to an animated character, like “the donkey”, one of the leading characters in the “SHRECK” films, and he has a phobia of frogs, he has also explained that this fear came from him. when he was ten years old, but he’s not sure why. He describes himself as a kind person, and willing to help others in difficulty. He often makes fans laugh, and he doesn’t hesitate to be hilarious in several videos where we see him playing, laughing and having fun in a comedic way, hence his lively personality.
HENDERY also learned to play the drums, and even posted a video of her learning this field on the band’s official channel. He has his own Instagram account, which we can find under the name of “i_m_hendery” on the network. He posts a lot of selcas of himself or of him with other members.
Since 2020, he is officially part of the group NCT. WAYV was presented within the NCT 2020 project, which consisted of bringing together in two parts, one and the same album “RESONANCE“, in which all the sub-units participated through different songs and different MV, while making several combinations varied with all members. HENDERY is in one of the MV for the second part of this album, for the song called “Work it“.
