Netflix has released a poster teaser of the work that will finally meet the world after a long time, with the beginning of the story of “JUVENILE JUSTICE”.

“JUVENILE JUSTICE,” completed by director Hong Jong-Chan with a balanced perspective from young writer Kim Min-Seok, is a Netflix series about juvenile crimes faced by judge Shim Eun Seok, who “hates” juvenile delinquents when ‘she takes up her duties in the minors’ section of the high court.
The idea for “JUVENILE JUSTICE” began with writer Kim Min-Seok, who was curious about the story of a judge who was not often followed by the media compared to lawyers and prosecutors. Writer Kim Min-Seok, who learned that there are judges in various fields, was particularly interested in the management process of the juvenile department, that is, how juvenile offenders are treated and judged, and how judges prepare and deliver judgments.
In addition, he continued to cover various parts of the country and listened to the reality of juvenile delinquency that the media had not yet brought to light and the stories of several people engaged in positions relating to it. He began to describe the story by covering nearly 5 to 60 officials, including visiting district courts and visiting juvenile centers, juvenile classification control centers, 6 consignment agencies and youth recovery centers.
Writer Kim Min-Seok said:
“It’s really great how people today think about their children. I tried to write sensitively so it wouldn’t hurt them “,
adding, “I have listened to diverse voices such as those of judges, investigators, court staff, facility managers and attorneys, and have struggled to grasp the reality of our society surrounding juvenile crime with a perspective more balanced.“
In the drama “JUVENILE JUSTICE“, four judges with different beliefs and subjectivity towards juvenile delinquents appear. Their different perspectives make us think about what our society really needs to do about juvenile offenders.
Four years after writer Kim Min-Seok started planning this story, director Hong Jong-Chan joined the “JUVENILE JUSTICE” adventure, who has dealt with basic stories of society that we don’t know about. never looked at or that we didn’t know, such as “Dear my friends“, which highlights the absurdities of the medical community, and “Life”.
He said, “Will we be able to address these issues in the future? So I thought I had to,” he said, expressing the excitement he felt when he saw the script.
“One day I thought that the story that tells about the trial of minors was not someone else’s problem, but a problem close to our environment.”
, he added, wondering what we were doing, what we could do in the future and what we can no longer avoid.

The teasers with intense black and white contrast and red titles make us curious about the story they will bring us with the different atmosphere of the four judges and their different facial expressions facing various juvenile delinquents. KIM HYE SOO, who plays Judge Shim Eun Seok and is quick to say that she hates juvenile delinquents, said:
“I was surprised that such a story could be written. It’s nice to think that this is going to be a show that viewers won’t have a choice but to think about it together, and I was glad I was offered the job.”
she said when she first heard the script.

KIM MU YEOL, who played Judge Cha Tae Joo, who has a different outlook than Shim Eun Seok, said, “I was naturally drawn to this work because it was a story I was interested in. I liked the purpose of the work, so I wanted to do it“, expressing his affection for the work provided, in which he felt and learned more, about the medium, during the filming.

LEE SUNG MIN, who plays Chief Justice Kang Won-Joong, said that “JUVENILE JUSTICE” was a work that sought a more active and specific solution. The scene of the trial, in the juvenile court, was also interesting, unlike the existing courtroom, explaining why he had no choice but to participate in this project. LEE JUNG EUN, who plays Na Geun-hee, another head judge with a fierce personality, said, “It was good as an actor to have a job that could capture the era of our society in which we face,” adding curiosity about the kind of worries and stories “JUVENILE JUSTICE” will convey.

And here is the face of the main juvenile delinquents who will give worries to the various judges:

“JUVENILE JUSTICE,” created with the hard work of the production team for a balanced perspective on juvenile delinquents and the sympathy and support of the actors who played the four judges, will be released on Netflix on February 25 in various catalogs.
