SEVENTEEN: VERNON live for more power

VERNON of the group SEVENTEEN showed an energetic live performance through a special video of “Black eye”.

At midnight on December 27, his agency Pledis Entertainment released a special video of VERNON’s first solo mixtape, “BLACK EYE“, which adds beauty with a live session of a band with their guitars and drums, on the SEVENTEEN official YouTube channel and SNS.

In the special video, VERNON appeared in a casual style with plaid shirts and jeans, giving off a free and trendy atmosphere. In particular, VERNON caught viewers’ attention by maximizing the charm of “Black eye” with an explosive live performance, witty gestures and intense facial expressions.

Black eye“, which corresponds to VERNON’s unique middle and low voice, is a pop-punk genre song that combines a relaxed voice and happy group sounds, with a free and rebellious atmosphere. VERNON expresses his hurt heart and frustration as if expressing his feelings in a relationship with people who don’t follow his path, and presents an emotional and simple melody that contrasts with the fast tempo.

VERNON received favorable reviews from foreign media such as NYLON, a famous American magazine, and Rolling Stone, a music magazine. Media also noted VERNON’s stint as a solo artist this year, referencing collaborations with British singer-songwriter Charlie XCX and Omega Sapien.
