The group SEVENTEEN won the award at the Japanese Music Awards and gave an excellent performance.

The members of SEVENTEEN participated in the “64th Shining TBS – Japanese Music Awards,” which aired live from 5:30 p.m. (Japan time) on December 30. The group won the “Special International Music Award“. This is the first time SEVENTEEN has won the “Japanese Record Awards” since its debut.
SEVENTEEN said, “It is an honor to receive this award at the Japanese Record Awards with a long history and tradition, and we are happy to perform on this wonderful stage,” adding, “Thanks to CARATS, we received this wonderful prize. Thank you very much. We will continue to try to show our growth in the future,” expressing its gratitude to the fans with its acceptance speech.
SEVENTEEN performed the title track “Dream” from the Japanese debut EP “DREAM” after winning the award. They decorated the award ceremony beautifully with a spectacular performance by 13 people and a perfect stage that you can’t take your eyes off of for a moment.
The “Japan Record Awards” is an awards ceremony organized by the Japan Composers Association, which began in 1959 and is the longest tradition and authority awards ceremony in Japan.
The group will be appearing on the TBS music special “CDTV Live! Live” which airs on December 31 for the New Year! The group will be there to switch from 2022→2023 and will perform a Japanese version of “Rock with you“.
