Today, June 20, ATEEZ won its first prize for « Bouncy » at SBS MTV’s « THE SHOW ».
On June 16, ATEEZ released its new album « THE WORLD EP.2 : OUTLAW » and the music video for its title track, « Bouncy ». As soon as they were released, they broke many records, drawing attention to ATEEZ.
Indeed, ATEEZ broke its own record with the album « THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW » by selling 750,000 copies on the same day of its release and recently reaching one million copies sold in a week according to the Hanteo chart. As for « Bouncy », the music video surpassed 10 million views in just 8 hours surpassing the record held by « Halazia ». In addition, this new album entered the UK music chart by placing sixth in the « UK Top 10 album » chart.
Therefore, it was at « THE SHOW » that ATEEZ won its first prize for « Bouncy » with a total of 7 220 points. The very touched group’s members thanked their families and ATINYs (fandom’s name) for their support and hard work. Moreover, this first victory marks a significant anniversary for ATEEZ, four years to the day, the group won its first victory with « Wave ».
In parallel with this successful comeback, ATEEZ won a fourth trophy on the show « IMMORTAL SONG » broadcast on KBS with the cover of the song « 질풍가도 ». Thus, the group becomes the first K-pop group to win so many victories on this music show.
