FORTENA: Korean tenors invited by Placido Domingo
Crossover group FORTENA will be on stage for Placido Domingo’s performance in Korea.
FORTENA will be the guest at the Korea show of Placido Domingo, one of the top three tenors in the world, which will take place at COEX D Hall in Seoul at 7 p.m. KST on November 18.
Spanish and Mexican singer and conductor Placido Domingo, known as the “King of Opera” and the “Master of the Century”, is a world-class tenor and proven talent around the world. The concert will be held in hopes of attracting the 2030 Busan World Expo.
FORTENA was chosen by Placido Domingo to join soprano Jennifer Lowry, conductor Eugene Cohn and the Artel Philharmonic Orchestra on a glorious stage.
FORTENA (Lee Dong kyu, Austin Kim, Seo Yeong Taek and Kim Seong Hyeon) is a crossover group that was a finalist in “Phantom Singer 4″, and all members are tenors. It consists of countertenor, contralto, reperotenor and lyrictenor, and the group is said to have gained both legitimacy and freshness through a wide range of sounds, unique deep expression and skills.
Many fans are paying attention to the synergy that rising Korean tenors FORTENA, made up of four members, and world-renowned tenor Placido Domingo will have.
