SEVENTEEN
The world turns its attention to SEVENTEEN, the first K-pop group to grace the UNESCO stage, garnering global fan and local media fervor.

Excitement builds as the historic event approaches, where SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, et Dino), will perform for the first time at the UNESCO headquarters. Arriving in Paris on November 12th to participate in a special session of the “UNESCO Youth Forum” during the UNESCO General Assembly, the group members are already drawing crowds of eager fans at the local airport.
Local enthusiasm began as soon as news of SEVENTEEN‘s UNESCO special session spread. The 550 seats available for the “UNESCO Youth Forum” session with SEVENTEEN were quickly filled upon opening, attracting over 3,600 attendees, a record for all previous sessions.
UNESCO has expressed high expectations for the event. On its official website, the organization stated that SEVENTEEN‘s participation “will foster dialogue among youth and amplify their voices“, adding that this collaboration would play a crucial role in combining art and action. UNESCO emphasized that this collaboration with SEVENTEEN would go beyond mere entertainment, encouraging the empowerment of youth skills and collective actions.
South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin also expressed enthusiasm in his opening speech at the UNESCO General Assembly on November 10th. He introduced SEVENTEEN as “the globally renowned K-pop group” set to present a special session at the “UNESCO Youth Forum“, inviting everyone to join this event celebrating the limitless potential of future generations.
International media is also buzzing with excitement. SEVENTEEN plans to conduct extensive interviews with global news agencies and local correspondents.
Its management company Pledis Entertainment stated, “After speaking on the theme of solidarity among youth and education changing the future for youth and the planet, SEVENTEEN will present five songs, including ‘_WORLD‘, ‘Darl+ing (ENG ver)‘, ‘Headliner‘, ‘음악의 신‘ (‘Gof Of Music’), and ‘같이 가요 (ENG ver)‘ (‘Let’s go together’). Additionally, a special performance video in line with the spirit of the ‘UNESCO Youth Forum‘ will also be released. We ask for high expectations as the setlist of the show is connected to the theme of SEVENTEEN‘s speech.“
SEVENTEEN will hold the special session at the UNESCO headquarters main hall, delivering speeches and performances representing youth and future generations for about an hour. The event will be livestreamed on UNESCO‘s official YouTube channel on November 15th at 3:30 AM (Korean Time).
