The new boy group NEXZ was born in Season 2 of JYP Entertainment‘s “Nizi Project” global audition.

The final member and group name “NEXZ” were revealed in the final episode of “Nizi Project” Season 2, which aired on December 15 on JYP Entertainment’s official YouTube channel and Japanese online video platform Hulu. The show ranked first in the overall ranking and in the variety category from the 16th, proving its keen interest in “Nizi Project” season 2 and the new boy group NEXZ.
JYP Entertainment said, “The group name NEXZ, which abbreviates “Next Z(G=Generation),” was created by JYP Entertainment producer and representative judge Park Jin Young, which means the members who will be responsible of the next generation will come together to present music. performance and open a new era.
Park Jin Young explained the reason for the group’s name by saying, “I want NEXZ to open the future to a new generation.”
Following the regional preliminaries held in 11 cities, including Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Okinawa, Tokyo, Sendai, Kobe, New York, Los Angeles, Seoul in Korea, a total of seven members passed through all gates in Tokyo and from Seoul. NEXZ is made up of TOMOYA, HARU, YUKI, KEN, YU, YUHI and SEITA (final ranking order) who are known for their sincerity, combined with their dancing, singing and star skills.
In the last episode, they performed a joint song mission on the final stage with “Miracle”, a new song written and composed by Park Jin Young, the Stray Kids group’s production team, 3RACHA, and the special judges.

NEXZ will appear as a guest on Nihon TV’s Japanese terrestrial broadcast “Day Day” on December 18 and meet viewers for the first time under the name NEXZ.
“Nizi Project” is a joint audition program jointly presented by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music, Japan’s largest label. He produced the girl group NiziU in season 1 in 2020.
