Pledis Entertainment’s large rookie group TWS has released a large number of contents that can strongly confirm the character and charm of each member.
TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin) released a profile film (TWS Profile Film) on the group’s official SNS on January 3 and six personal trailers (TWS FIRST TIME) on the official Hybe Labels YouTube channel on January 4.
First, the profile film captures members’ images through the eyes of three people by arranging multiple photos and videos in a single frame in a framed manner. The ‘Hyung’, SHINYU, smiles widely in the sun, while DOHOON is seen with his hands behind his head. YOUNGJAE exudes a warm atmosphere just by standing on the street. HANJIN’s pure eyes, staring at the camera, the harmless eyes of JIHOON, and even KYUNGMIN, who is playful as the youngest. The six members of TWS naturally reveal their charms and exude a childish side. The profile film also introduces the ages and MBTI of SHINYU (born in 2003, INFP), DOHOON (born 2005, ISFJ), YOUNGJAE (born 2005, ISFJ), HANJIN (born 2006, INFJ), JIHOON (born 2006, INFJ) and KYUNGMIN (born 2007).
The six personal trailers enhance their charm. Set at school and at home, it shows natural charm by reflecting the members’ real personality and disposition. The video is also fun when you watch it in the order of DOHOON, SHINYU, YOUNGJAE, KYUNGMIN, JIHOON and HANJIN. DOHUN and SHINYU appear in the video, and they are in the YOUNGJAE trailer. They joined the videos one by one, merging the narrative to become one with TWS. In particular, some of the sound sources and titles of “Unplugged Boy“, one of the first tracks of the mini-album, also appear in the DOHOON trailer.
DOHOON, who tries on various clothes in his room, poses and dances brilliantly, SHINYU, who seriously writes lyrics in a notebook with math problems and raps alone in an alley, YOUNGJAE, a handsome senior who plays when he plays and studies, and KYUNGMIN, who is lying upside down on a slide or blowing bubble gum loudly, exudes a cute and wild charm.
From JIHOON’s music video, the mood develops emotionally. Looking lethargic in a dark room, JIHOON searches for a friend to dance with him via Messenger. When DOHOON, SHINYU, YOUNGJAE and KYUNGMIN respond to the message, JIHOON finally smiles again. HANJIN’s video begins with a person immersed in the practice and moves with its awkward but heartfelt narration: “I won’t give up. The future me I’ve been waiting for.”
Special character names are mentioned in the trailer credits of KYUNGMIN, JIHOON and HANJIN, attracting attention. He is the author of Cheon Gye-young, who dominated the cartoon world in the 1990s. This stimulates curiosity about how he was named on TWS’s credits.
TWS will make its official debut by releasing “SPARKLING” at 6 p.m. KST on May 22. They expressed their aspiration to become valuable friends who will make the daily life special of the audience and fans with fresh and bright energy. And they are expected to stimulate the pure and beautiful emotions of their childhood by introducing their own genre, “Boyhood Pop“, which developed from the team’s identity.
