BLACKPINK’s music video for “Pink Venom,” the preview song from its second full-length album, has surpassed 800 million views.

According to YG Entertainment, on January 28, BLACKPINK’s music video “Pink venom” surpassed 800 million views on YouTube as of 4:57 p.m. KST the day before. This is the 12th time in the group’s videos that an MV has reached 800 million times in approximately one year and five months since its release on August 19, 2022.
The music video for “Pink venom“, which broke the previous world record for female artists with 90.4 million views on YouTube within 24 hours after its release, was the fastest (29 hours and 35 minutes) among the groups female K-pop artists, surpassing 100 million views and 200 million views in seven and a half days.
The album’s performance was also remarkable. It topped 81 countries shortly after its release, and topped the Billboard world chart for two consecutive weeks in 2002 and the Billboard world chart for three consecutive weeks. It also ranked 22nd on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Official UK Chart, demonstrating its enormous influence on the global music market.
Currently, BLACKPINK has 92.81 million subscribers on its official YouTube channel, ranking first in the world beyond K-pop. They total 345.9 billion views, becoming the “YouTube Queen”.
BLACKPINK completed its 66th performance on a K-pop girl group world tour with “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINAL” in 34 cities. Adding the American festival of Coachella (250,000 people in total over the two days) and that of Hyde Park in the United Kingdom (65,000 people), where they were the first Asian artists to play as headliners, achieved “world class” status.
