TWS took home the music streaming trophy less than a month after its debut.
TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin) topped MBC’s “Show! Champion” on February 14 with the title song “첫만남은계획대로되지않아” from its debut mini album “SPARKING BLUE.”

TWS, who won the title without appearing on “Show! Champion”, broadcast live on Weverse, a global fandom life platform. Upon learning that TWS won first place in “Show! Champion”, TWS fulfilled its promise to live-present “첫만남은계획대로되지않아“. Even though it was an impromptu performance, their exceptional singing skills were remarkable. Fans all over the world praised TWS’s sweet performance on Valentine’s Day, which is even more meaningful.
TWS, a boy group released after nine years by Pledis Entertainment, debuted on January 22. The group, who gained attention as SEVENTEEN’s younger brother group, are poised to solidify its status as top rookies in 2024. In its second week of debut, TWS ranked 6th in the K-pop boy band history with “SPARKLING BLUE” (based on album sales per week as of release date) topping the “Weekly Physical Album Chart” (based on January 22- 28).
The title song “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아” ranked highly on major domestic and international music sites. In particular, it topped the Bugs daily chart for two consecutive days (February 12 and 13). In addition to Bugs, it entered the top 10 of most music sites, including 2nd for Flo, 4th for Melon, 8th for Genie and 9th for Spotify as of February 13. It is ranked 6th (February 13), the highest among K-pop boy groups, on YouTube Music’s “SHORTS Popular Songs” (Korea Standard) chart, which selects the most used songs by creators on YouTube Shorts .
