SEVENTEEN - Japan Gold Disc Awards 2024
SEVENTEEN solidifies its position as the “top K-pop group” by winning six awards at the “Japan Gold Disc Awards 2024“.

SEVENTEEN (composed of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) has set another remarkable record at the “Japan Gold Disc Awards 2024” in Japan.
According to the list of winners of the 38th edition of the “Japan Gold Disc Awards 2024” released by the Japan Record Association on March 13th, SEVENTEEN won the award for “Best Asian Artist” and dominated the “Top 3 Albums” category for the Asia region with its mini-album “FML“, Japanese album “ALWAYS YOURS“, and mini-album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN“. Additionally, “FML” also won the award for “Album of the Year” while the DVD of its concert “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR ‘BE THE SUN’ JAPAN” was recognized as the “Music Video of the Year“, allowing SEVENTEEN to take home a total of six awards.
SEVENTEEN‘s victory in the “Best Asian Artist” category, awarded to the most active artist in the Asia region throughout the year, holds special significance as it marks the first time the group has won this award. Furthermore, the fact that a single artist dominated the “Top 3 Albums” category for the Asia region is a first in the history of this ceremony, underscoring SEVENTEEN‘s exceptional popularity in Japan.
SEVENTEEN expressed their gratitude by stating:
“We are honored to receive these awards. This is possible thanks to the constant support of our fans, the CARATs, and everyone who loves our music. We are sincerely grateful. We will continue to work hard to deliver even better music in the future.”
Established in 1987, the “Japan Gold Disc Awards” is an awards ceremony organized by the Japan Record Association to recognize artists and works that have contributed to the development of the music industry. The selection of winners and awarded works in each category is based on album sales, streaming performances, and other indicators of success during the previous year.
SEVENTEEN continues its encore tour “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ AGAIN” in large stadiums in Korea and Japan. This tour will consist of eight concerts in four cities, starting at the Incheon Asia Main Stadium on March 30 and 31, followed by the Seoul World Cup Stadium on April 27 and 28, the Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka on May 18 and 19, and finally the Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa on May 25 and 26.
