Agency KOZ Entertainment announced on April 24 that BOYNEXTDOOR (Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Lee Han and Woonhak) will collaborate with street casual brand Sand Sound. The product resulting from this collaboration is based on the concept of BOYNEXTDOOR’s second mini-album “HOW?” released on April 15. The theme of this new opus, which depicts a fluctuating emotion during first love, blends into the clothing and accessories.
Following the selection of the Derma Cosmetics Doctor G brand as global ambassador, BOYNEXTDOOR confirmed its strong popularity by announcing its collaboration with fashion brands. KOZ Entertainment said: “We receive collaboration requests not only from the beauty and fashion world, but also from various fields. In particular, we believe that interest in BOYNEXTDOOR has increased thanks to these new activities.”
The appeal of love for BOYNEXTDOOR from all walks of life also plays a role in the boys’ friendly image and the free energy that comes from the music they make themselves. They participated in the lyrics and composition of their first songs to honestly express their emotions. In particular, JAEHYUN, TAESAN and WOONHAK participated in five of the six new songs, including the title song “Earth, Wind & Fire“, from the new album “HOW?”
“HOW?” topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in a total of five countries/regions on the first day of its release, and sold a total of 531,911 copies in the week following its release (based on the chart Hanteo/global period from April 15 to 21), making it their first “Half million seller”. Additionally, the album shows a strong upward curve at home and abroad, ranking first on the Oricon weekly album chart (April 29/April 15–21 global period) with 77,000 sales in Japan.
BOYNEXTDOOR will appear on MBC Every1 and MBCM’s “Show! Champion” at 5 p.m. KST on April 24 to perform.
