The group STAYC will release its first full album.
Hi-Up Entertainment said on May 3, “STAYC (Sieun, Seeun, Sumin, J, Isa and Yoon) will release its first full album “METAMORPHIC” on July 1.”
In the spoiler image posted on official SNS, STAYC announced a stylish transformation with a mix-match style with leopard patterns. The colorful visuals of the six members, which are also felt in the monotonous color, aroused admiration.
The spoiler video attracted attention with the vintage texture of it as well as the name of the album “METAMORPHIC”. The screen switch, which coincides with the sound of the second hand, and the surprise appearance of SEEUN to the sound of an alarm that wakes up the silence, increase the tension. The calendar video released the next day also added to the curiosity with a dreamlike sound reminiscent of a brutal fairy tale.
“METAMORPHIC” is the first album to be released in Korea in about 11 months since STAYC’s third mini album “TEENFRESH” released in August last year.
As this is the first full album released in three and a half years since its debut, it is expected to be a high-quality album combining STAYC’s musical achievements. In particular, it amplifies the curiosity as to how “Teen Fresh“, which can be considered as STAYC’s own genre, will have continued to transform and grow in this first full album.
STAYC proved its global presence in North America and Europe beyond Asia by completing its first world tour “TEENFRESH” after a string of hits such as “Teddy bear” and “Bubble”. The group is determined to conquer fans around the world again, predicting new performances based on its solid experience since its debut.
STAYC confirmed its return on July 1st and are doing everything possible to prepare the album. The teaser contents and promotions related to the return will be released one by one on official SNS later.
