RM
RM’s second solo album receives positive reviews every day.

RM’s second solo album of the group BTS, “RIGHT PLACE, WRONG PERSON“, released in May this year, was selected as the “Best K-pop Album for the First Half of 2024, Staff Members” recently released by Billboard , an American music media. Billboard said: “RM once again explores his identity and emotions through his most ambitious album in 2024.”
Billboard called “RIGHT PLACE, WRONG PERSON” as “a musical experience and an honest sharing of one’s thoughts.” It also focused on the tracks, saying: “Come back to me”, “Domodachi (feat. Little Simz)” and others are more like a space for RM to reflect and unravel his mind than popularity. He also added, “It feels like he freely expressed every aspect of himself (through this album).”
Associated Press (AP), the largest news agency in the United States, also ranked RM’s album as the “Best Album of the First Half of 2024“. The Associated Press said: “RM, the thoughtful leader of BTS, always achieves great achievements by being philosophical and not afraid of challenges every time he performs solo work. This album poses challenges deep questions about music, regardless of genre.”

Consensus of Sound, an American music media outlet, called RM’s second solo album “an experimental album” and selected the song “Domodachi (feat. Little Simz)” as the “best song of the first half of 2024“.
After its release, RM’s new album was well received by major international media. Foreign media such as “Beautiful and Interesting Artwork” (NME), “RM’s Wonderful Solo Journey” (Grammy Dotcom) and “BTS Leader’s Charming Music Journey” (Hayibbeest) have praised RM’s musicality. In fact, RM expanded his own musical world by questioning the alternative genre and collaborating with artists of different colors through this album.
“RIGHT PLACE, WRONG PERSON” is about a moment that feels like a “stranger out of place” and speaks to that universal feeling that everyone must have felt in their life. RM became the first solo K-pop artist to place two works in a row in the “Top 5” chart, reaching No. 5 on Billboard’s main album chart upon the release of the new album. At No. 37, he broke his own record for solo albums.
