SEVENTEEN member WOOZI himself explained the theory of AI writing and composition.
WOOZI posted a message on his SNS on July 14, saying:
“SEVENTEEN’s music is written and composed by human creators.”
This appears to be related to the recent BBC report on the issue of AI writing and composition in K-pop.
Recently, the BBC reported an article that said: “SEVENTEEN and other famous stars use AI technology to produce music videos and write lyrics“, and “SEVENTEEN’s “Maestro” music video features scenes generated by AI, which also includes AI-generated speech.“
WOOZI, who attended a press conference to commemorate the release of SEVENTEEN’s Best Album “17 IS RIGHT HERE” in April, said: “I experienced AI. Rather than complain about technology, I want to develop it together“, but it is presumed that the BBC had quoted it in the report after having misinterpreted it.
SEVENTEEN, which WOOZI belongs to, will hold “‘2024 SVT 8TH FAN MEETING ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND” at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 23rd and 24th and meet its fans.
