The outline of girl group 2NE1’s 15th anniversary solo concert has been released.
According to YG Entertainment, on July 25, 2NE1 will hold the “2024 Concert in Seoul ‘WELCOM BACK’” at Seoul Olympic Park on October 5 and 6.
The title of the concert is “WELCOME BACK“, which welcomes 2NE1 members with their fans. This is the first solo concert in about 10 years and 6 months since “ALL OR NOTHING in SEOUL“, which took place in March 2014.
The members of 2NE1, who have dominated the music industry with their outstanding live performances and unmatched stage control, also showed their presence at the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2022”, the largest music festival in the United States .
The collaboration with Yang Hyun Seok, the agency’s executive producer, is also expected to generate extraordinary synergy. Earlier, Yang Hyun Seok announced his full support for 2NE1’s comeback.
YG Entertainment said, “This is a monumental year that marks the 15th anniversary of 2NE1’s debut and reunion, so we have a strong desire to begin these performances during this year,” adding, “Even though the performances at World Hall in Kobe, Japan, in late November and Ariake Arena in Tokyo in early December have been confirmed, this actively reflects the members’ opinion that they wanted to open in Korea first.“
Whether in Korea or abroad, it is common for the venue to be booked months in advance. YG Entertainment said: “We tried our best to look for a venue that could be free this year, but the biggest venue was already booked and we were very lucky to rent the Olympic Hall.”
“As many people’s expectations were raised just as the Seoul concert was announced, fierce sales are expected. We are sorry that we were unable to meet more audiences in Korea, but we will will reward with high quality performances and we will come back with better news in the future, so look forward to it.” she declared.
Starting with the Seoul concert, 2NE1 will expand its world tour schedule outside of Kobe and Tokyo, Japan. General reservations for shows in Seoul will be made through Interpark Tickets from 8 p.m. on August 5.
