Boy group SEVENTEEN canceled its fan signing event in Beijing on Monday after its flight was canceled due to a plane malfunction.

“We have decided to cancel the signing event after careful consideration, prioritizing the safety of the artists,” event organizer Yizhiyu Entertainment said Monday.
A replacement flight could not be scheduled, according to Yizhiyu Entertainment.
“We will refund fans who traveled to the offline signing event in Beijing for their cancellation fees for transportation and accommodation,” Yizhiyu Entertainment said. The company also said it would update the revised schedule for the signing event as soon as possible.
“To our fans CARATs in Beijing, I am truly sorry. I know it was not easy for everyone to arrive on such a hot day, and I am aware of all the preparations you have made for our reunion,” THE8 said in a post on Weverse.
SEVENTEEN held their fan meet, “Seventeen in Carat Land,” on July 23 and 24 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, western Seoul. The group will kick off their “Right Here” world tour in October, performing in Asia and the United States.
