Group CNBLUE (Jung Yong Hwa, Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jung Shin) returns today with its first new album “X” in three years.

On October 14 at 6 p.m., CNBLUE will release all the songs from their 10th mini album “X” and the music video for its title track “A sleepless night.” We highlighted three reasons why CNBLUE is looking forward to its comeback after returning with an album that contains their identity and infinite possibilities in three years.
- 10th mini album “X” is an extension of the Seoul concert
CNBLUE, who are making its first comeback in three years, announced its comeback by pre-releasing four songs from their new album “X” at their solo concert “VOYAGE Into X” held in Korea in September. The group also attracted attention by performing new songs live at college festivals and other venues. Following this enthusiasm, they are releasing their 10th mini album “X” on October 14. The album “X” is expected to have many meanings, including 10 times the growth of CNBLUE and an endless future.
- A title song referencing a poet, “A sleepless night”
The title song “A sleepless night” is a mid-tempo rock genre with an impressive whistle intro, and JUNG YONG HWA participated in writing and composing the song. Quoting poet Ha Sang Wook’s verse “그리운건 그대일까 그때일까 (Is this the time I miss you?)“, the song describes a situation in which memories of a broken lover remain in one’s head, and repeated memories and desires still linger. Realistic lyrics, JUNG YONG HWA‘s sensitive vocals, and colorful group sounds produced by KANG MIN HYUK and LEE JUNG SHIN are expected to captivate listeners.
- A rich setlist of songs written by the members
The album is filled with personal songs from all the members, boasting a solid level of polish. The title track, “Bad bad“, which sounds dreamy, “Racer”, which includes guitar riffs and drum sounds, and “To. My love“, which features the emotional vocals of JUNG YONG HWA, who participated in the writing and composition of four songs, including LEE JUNG SHIN‘s personal song “Personal color” and KANG MIN HYUK‘s personal song “Tonight”. In addition, the track “Skit (CD only), which allows you to listen to the behind-the-scenes stories of the album, is only included in the album itself, giving you a different charm.
CNBLUE plans to release its 10th mini album “X” on major music sites at 6 p.m. KST today and continue their activities by holding an online comeback show at 10 p.m. KST.
