POW
POW’s daring transformation, which is back after about nine months, is attracting attention.

On October 21st, POW members released their second EP album “BOYFRIEND.” Like the album’s name, POW transformed into a “boyfriend” who is responsible for its fans’ daily lives through this new album.
With the album’s general keywords being “love” and “growth,” POW sings about the boys’ emotions and stories that are easily hidden. They maintained the group’s characteristic freshness, but also tried to transform themselves by creating a more reckless atmosphere.
The boys, who carefully whispered their love in previous tracks such as “Favorite,” “Dazzling,” and “Valentine,” broke away from shyness with “BOYFRIEND.” The members took it to the next level as irresistible men through their attempts to win love.
POW added a powerful, funky charm to the existing concept of “Youth X Refreshing,” and in particular, it grew musically, such as trying out a rap role for the first time in the title track “Boyfriend.”
POW’s transformation can also be seen in the lyrics. POW, who went viral among K-pop fans with her so-called “pretty lyrics” that evoke fairy tale sensibilities, participated in the lyrics of the track “Sunset” of this new album, showing a broader musical color and spectrum.
POW, which clearly showed its colors by containing more varied musical genres than the previous one, is considered a “gemstone” that is not artificial but pre-processed. Its growth potential and tireless music are expected to guide the future of K-pop and attract attention.
