MONSTA X‘s SHOWNU, MINHYUK, and I.M held a surprise event to share special moments with fans.
Starship Entertainment‘s agency stated, “Except for KIHYUN, HYEONGWON, and JOOHEON who are serving in the military, SHOWNU, MINHYUK, and I.M have decided to hold a mini event for their own reality content ‘MON MUST GO ON: Three Brothers‘ while waiting for ‘MON MUK GO‘ with their fans.”
MINHYUK participated in this free fan event as the group’s first official program after being discharged from the military in October, followed by a surprise street event near Hongdae in Mapo-gu, Seoul on November 29 to announce the launch of the mini edition of ‘MON MUK GO‘.
Despite the surprise nature of the event that was announced two hours before its opening, the venue was packed with fans who came to catch a glimpse of MONSTA X, and the 500-person first-come, first-served event received such an enthusiastic response that it had to close before the official end.
After warmly greeting their fans, the three members asked for their likes, comments, and notifications, saying that “MON MUST GO ON: Three Brothers” will begin on December 20. In addition, they ended the event in a warm atmosphere by sharing coffee, cookies, and hand warmers with the 500 people waiting.
“MON MUK GO” was appreciated by fans for its content, which was released by MONSTA X for the first time in nine years since its debut last year. And on December 20, MONSTA X will release a new season “MON MUST GO ON: Three Brothers” to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut, signaling greater communication with fans.
MONSTA X has become a global artist since its debut in 2015. In 2018, they were the first K-pop group to be invited to the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour in the United States for three consecutive years, and after the pandemic, they also sold out their arena tours.
The new content, “MON MUST GO ON: Three Brothers,” will be released for the first time on MONSTA X‘s official YouTube channel at 8:30 p.m. KST on December 20.
