YVES
On the occasion of YVES‘ Parisian concert which will take place on December 12 at the Bataclan, KSTATION TV had the pleasure of being able to interview this young artist in advance and to ask her various questions in order to get to know her better and to make her known to as many people as possible.

YVES is a South Korean solo singer and producer under PAIX PER MIL, who was also a member of the girl group LOONA. She made her official solo debut on May 29, 2024 with her first EP album, “LOOP“.
Come discover your artist with us:
1. First of all, let’s talk about your current tour, the 2024 Yves Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour. This is your first tour as a solo artist! How did the preparations go? Do you have any anecdotes to share?
YVES : I’m really preparing hard. In fact, since I’m practicing for music shows and tours at the same time, I think I’m memorizing the choreography slower than usual. But I’m having fun preparing because I’m thinking about showing a new stage to the fans who will come to the tour.
2. This is also your second time in Paris! Can you tell us a few words in French?
YVES : Bonjour, Ehngdu~ Je t’aime ! Merci ~
3. Are there any places in Paris that you dream of discovering or that you would recommend to your fans?
YVES : I really love vintage items, and I want to find a beautiful vintage shop in Paris, create an “Yves Course,” and recommend it to the fans.
4. Speaking of traveling, you have had the opportunity to travel the world since your debut. Are there any international artists you dream of collaborating with or countries you would like to perform in?
YVES : I often listen to the albums of group called ‘FLO’ that came out around the same time as me, and I thought it would be an honor to collaborate with them. There are actually so many countries I want to perform in that it’s hard to choose, but I’ve never done an Asian tour before, so I definitely want to meet my Asian fans.
5. You started in 2017. Do you think your style and music have evolved over the years? How would you describe this evolution?
YVES : Rather than evolving, I think my spectrum has broadened. My ears have become more sensitive to what I see and hear, so I deliberately seek out and listen to music I didn’t listen to before, and try colors I’ve never tried before. I think I’ve become someone who enjoys making quite bold changes.
6. You recently released your mini album “I DID” on November 14th, can you tell us about the creative process of this new opus?
YVES : My second album, “I Did”, is an album that expresses the process of finding ‘peace’, which is the biggest part of my happiness, through music. Maybe this album is more about expressing a story and a character than singing? It is an album where you can meet me drawing out my hidden selves.
7. “I DID” expresses the deep inner story you have faced throughout your career. Do you have any anecdotes to share with us?
“I was able to express my honest feelings and stories through an album, so I think it was a very meaningful album for me because I was able to show myself to my fans and the public with more courage.”
8. With this latest mini-album, you have approached the hyper-pop genre in a unique way, do you have a musical style/concept that you would like to explore in a future album?
YVES : I think I’m the type of person whose interests and things I like change every day, so the genre I want to try now might not end up on my next album… but these days I’m really into 2000s R&B, so I listen to a lot of that.
9. Finally, it’s time to join the French “Ehngdu”, is there a message you would like to convey to your fans?
YVES : These days, I am both excited and nervous to meet French fans. I have worked very hard to take on various challenges as a soloist, so please look forward to my growth and keep loving me!
Je vous aime. – YVES
It is with these last words for her fans that we end this exchange.
