The “Korea HipHop Awards 2025“, the only music awards ceremony of its kind in Korea and a festival of hip-hop musicians, has confirmed its hosting.
The “Korean Hip Hop Awards 2025 (KHA)” is an awards ceremony exclusively hosted by HIPHOPPLAYA, which represents Korean hip-hop. KHA, which has been at the center of Korean hip-hop culture every year since its first organization in 2017, is celebrating its ninth anniversary this year. “KHA 2025” will highlight the performances of those who have distinguished themselves in the hip-hop and R&B genres, targeting works and artists in Korea announced from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
Applicants will be recommended via the official website starting January 2 next year. The selection committee consisting of music critics, media experts, label art directors, video directors, performance planners, and music distributors will consist of a total of 30 people.
At the last “KHA 2024“, BEENZINO was awarded Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. At the time, he released his second full-length album “NOWITZKI” in seven years, demonstrating his musical influence with iconic achievements as a solo musician in the hip-hop genre. DEAN’s “DIE 4 YOU” was chosen for this year’s R&B title and DPR Ian‘s “Don’t Go insane” for Music Video of the Year. A total of 10 awards will be presented.
