According to YG Entertainment, on February 5, BABYMONSTER’s music video for “Batter up” surpassed 300 million views on YouTube as of 11:44 PM the previous day. It has been about a year and two months since its release, on November 27, 2023.
Immediately after its release, the music video topped YouTube’s global daily music video chart for five consecutive days amid enthusiastic responses from music fans, and instantly topped the weekly chart. It gained momentum and gained 100 million views (18th) and 200 million views (53rd) at a very rapid pace, signaling its unusual popularity.
As a result, BABYMONSTER has two videos with over 300 million views out of YouTube’s eight billion content. Previously, the music video for their first mini album “Sheesh” reached the same number of views in approximately 186 days, breaking the record for the shortest song for a K-pop girl group after 100 million views (10th) and 200 million views (33rd).
