NJZ (formerly Newjeans) will begin its first activity after changing its group name.
The global street fashion and culture festival “ComplexCon” will be held at Asia World Expo Hong Kong from March 21 to 23.
This is the second event to be held outside of North America after last year, and in particular, NJZ (formerly Newjeans) will appear in the artist lineup of “Complex Live”, the concert series of the Hong Kong festival ComplexCon, to attract the attention of fans.
This is the first time that NJZ has changed the name of the group, which has received a lot of attention so far. NJZ is the most influential girl group in the music industry and consists of five members: MINJI, HANNI, DANIELLE, HARIN, and HYEIN.
During its time as Newjeans, the group emerged like a comet in the K-pop market and established themselves as the most influential and innovative group of Generation Z, creating a lot of sensation with their style and sound that broke the boundaries of the genre of chart domination.
In particular, Newjeans’ debut album “NWJNS” became the most-streamed girl group album in the history of Melon, the country’s largest music platform, with over 555.2 million streams, and their lead single surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify.
In addition to this, they became the first K-pop girl group to receive the Group of the Year award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, and in 2023, they won the Top Global K-Pop Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards. In addition, they also swept the “2023 Mama Awards” and “2023 Melon Music Awards” to create buzz.

This year’s lineup includes famous artists from various countries, including China, Japan, and Hong Kong, as well as Korea. Alongside Zico, B.I., rapper Sik K, Changmo, and record producer Lil Moshpit, MC Jin, the first Asian-American rapper to sign with a major record label in the United States, will also be performing.
Also performing solo artists include Japanese DJ-model Shuzo, Japanese hip-hop artist Yellow Bucks, Hong Kong singer-actor Jays, and new Chinese rap group DigiGhetto and DigiGhetto’s Tom Boy Donkill. Performance dates for each artist will be announced at a later date.
