JACKSON WANG is back with a new single.
On February 13, JACKSON unveiled his new single « High alone ».
With « High alone », the artist showcases a poignant and very singular work that differs from what one usually expects from a musical piece. In particular, the music video seems to be at the center of the art piece while the music comes reinforcing the scenes that are conveyed in the clip.
We encounter JACKSON‘s character, an artist going on stage for a performance, when the director suddenly traps him under the ignorant eyes of the audience that keeps demanding for more. Later on, the memories of this traumatic event keeps troubling him as he fails to recognize himself in the mirror.
According to NetEase Cloud Music, « High alone » is the start of one of the four chapters of his upcoming album « MAGIC MAN 2 » which should be released this year. Through the album, JACKSON plans to tell about his personal journey through introspection, his emotions, his doubts, his lonelineness, his heartbreaks, the discovery of himself and self-acceptance.
Knowing that, « High alone » stands as the promise for a very personal masterwork from JACKSON that will undoubtedly demonstrate his growth through art, just like this first short film-like music video that tells about some difficult moments the artist has experienced with the following message: “the deepest wounds are not from your enemies” .
