SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has achieved the highest ranking among K-pop artists in the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)’s annual main chart.
According to the report published by the IFPI on February 18 on its official website, SEVENTEEN ranked 3rd on the “Global Artist Chart 2024“, placing just behind global superstars Taylor Swift and Drake.
The IFPI Global Artist Chart is based on physical album sales, digital downloads, and streaming figures (both audio and video), making it a key metric in determining an artist’s global popularity. SEVENTEEN first entered the Top 10 in 2021 at No. 9, before climbing to No. 6 in 2022 and reaching No. 2 in 2023, proving its continuous growth.
SEVENTEEN also excelled in the album charts. Its 12th mini-album, “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN“, and its best-of album, “17 IS RIGHT HERE“, secured 3rd and 4th place, respectively, on the “Global Album Sales Chart 2024“. Notably, SEVENTEEN is the only artist to have placed two albums in the Top 5 of this ranking.
In the “Global Album Chart 2024“, “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” ranked 6th, while “17 IS RIGHT HERE” placed 8th. Once again, SEVENTEEN stands out as the only artist with two albums in the Top 10.
In 2023, the group recorded nearly 10 million album sales, further solidifying its status as a K-pop powerhouse. At the same time, its “SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR“, which kicked off on October 12-13, 2024, at Goyang Stadium, spanned 14 cities across North America, Japan, and Asia, with 30 shows attracting over 1.037 million attendees (both online and offline).
SEVENTEEN is continuing its momentum with major upcoming events. On March 20-21, the group will hold its 9th fan meeting, “2025 SVT 9TH FAN MEETING <SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND>“, at Munhak Stadium in Incheon. In April and May, it will host the “SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FANMEETING ‘HOLIDAY’“, with five scheduled shows in two major venues: Kyocera Dome Osaka and Saitama Super Arena.
