J-HOPE unveils a new single.
Today, March 7, BTS rapper J-HOPE released his digital single “Sweet dream” featuring MIGUEL and its music video.
This new single is a heartfelt ballad about the desire to love and be loved. Accompanied by dreamy synthesizers and refreshing riffs, J-HOPE compares this feeling to that of a sweet dream. A dream perfectly illustrated in the music video.
Filmed in 4:3 format in homage to the R&B pop aesthetic of the 2000s, the music video plays on the boundaries of dream and reality. The house in the air expresses this dream, that of falling in love while the residence flown over by the house is the reality where couples and groups of friends meet.
But the line between dream and reality seems to become more and more blurred as the song goes on, the streets transform according to J-HOPE‘s imagination while the house seems to make room not only for a dream, but for this new encounter that concludes this music video.
For the release of this new single, J-HOPE said: “Since it’s a music video with a lot of visual effects, I was curious about the final result during the filming. There are a lot of hidden details that express love and dreams in this music video, it would be fun to try to find them all.“
Finally, J-HOPE will be a guest on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on March 11.
